The Burrows Lodge at Wombat Crossing Vineyard
The Burrows Lodge at Wombat Crossing Vineyard was completed in 2010. It offers modern, luxury accommodation overlooking our dam, vineyards and the distant mountains of the Barrington Tops National Park. Nearby restaurants (the nearest just across the road), golf courses and wineries provide plenty of diversions.
We offer a very private experience for 2 couples to stay at our vineyard for 2 or more nights over the weekend. Our vineyard facility is top class, and provides the foundation for the ultimate city escape, wine tasting, golf or concert weekend with friends. The Burrows comprise 3 separate pavillions, with 2 separate bedroom/en-suite pavillions attached through a long roof to a middle living paviliion that provides a shared lounge and kitchenette/dining facilities. The Burrows has disabled access. There are queen sized beds in each bedroom, with modern en-suite facilities. The Burrows is self-catering and self-contained, with internal (microwave, stove top) and external BBQ facilities provided (both a gas and a traditional wood BBQ). A continental breakfast pack, a bottle of our single vineyard wine and a cheese plate are provided for the weekend. All rooms are air-conditioned. Sports fans will not be disappointed – there is a modern audio/visual centre in the living pod. Accommodation is strickly non-smoking.
There is a brilliant outside area with tables and chairs for relaxing with a glass of wine, with views across the dam and olive grove through to the mountains in the distance. There is an alfresco dining area under the central roof area as well. Naturally you will be welcome to a private wine tasting at our cellar!. Golfers can bring some clubs and try our 9 hole, par 3 practice course located on the property.

See http://www.cypresslakes.com.au/ Or try The Vintage: Home of the NSW Open - a Greg Norman designed course that is a little harder than Cypress Lakes, so bring a few exra golf balls! http://www.thevintage.com.au/ We can provide vouchers and make tee times for you at these courses - please ask us about this option.
Dining: There are several fantastic local restaurants, some as close as Restaurant Botanica, just a short stroll across the road. Julz Van Den Berg's famous Cracked Pepper, and other lunch and dinner venues are within a short car or limo journey. Along the road is Restaurant Beltree, which serves fantastic European inspired tappas at lunch on the weekends. You'll find the local Dining Out guide in your room when you join us, or you can book a head of time by looking at the restaurants at http://www.aroundhermitage.com.au/ and http://www.winecountry.com.au/informationsheetcategories/restaurants
