The Burrows Lodge at Wombat Crossing Vineyard

The Burrows Lodge at Wombat Crossing Vineyard was completed in 2010, and offers modern, luxury accommodation overlooking our dam, vineyards and the distant mountains of the Barrington Tops National Park.  Nearby restaurants, golf courses and wineries provide plenty of diversions.

We offer a private experience for 2 couples to stay at our vineyard for 2 or more nights over the weekend. This exclusive facility is top class, and provides the foundation for the ultimate vineyard escape weekend.

The Burrows comprise 3 separate pods, with 2 separate bedroom/en-suite blocks attached to a middle living pod that provides a shared lounge and kitchenette/dining facilities. The Burrows has disabled access. There are queen sized beds in each bedroom with en-suite facilities. The Burrows is self-catering and self-contained, with both a gas and wood BBQ available. A continental breakfast pack, our wine and some local cheese are provided for the weekend. All rooms are air-conditioned. Sports fans will not be disappointed – there is a modern audio/visual centre in the living pod.

There is a brilliant outside area with tables and chairs, with views across the dam and olive grove through to the mountains in the distance. Naturally you will be welcome for a private wine tasting, and you can bring some clubs and try our 9 hole, par 3 practice course located on the property.

The Price:

The Burrows is available for 2 nights weekend for $900, or 3 nights for $1,200. If you wish to stay longer, then please call us to discuss availability and rates. Single couples can be accommodated at a reduced charge on a standby basis – confirmed each Wednesday prior to the weekend.

Field & Wine Club Discounts:

Wombat Field and Wine Club members receive a 10% room rate discount and have preferred booking rights for weekends every year. Please try to book as many weeks ahead as you can, as accommodation sells out very early for event and function weekends.

Important Information:

  • Because the Burrows is located next to a dam, we cannot accommodate children or pets.
  • All rooms are non-smoking.

Conditions:

  • Prices quoted include GST and are subject to change. Public Holidays are charged at weekend rates.
  • Special rates may apply for bookings longer than 3 days.
  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking.
  • Deposit is refundable up to 2 weeks before your stay. With less notice your deposit will be refunded if accommodation can be re-booked.
  • Cancellations on the day of check-in are a no-show and may incur a charge of up to two days tariff.
  • Major credit cards, cash, cheque or direct deposits accepted.
  • All accommodation packages includes a bottle of Wombat Crossing Vineyard wine and a cheese plate.
  • This self contained accommodation includes continental breakfast provisions.
  • The cabins are self-catering – there is a gas cook top, microwave and external gas and wood BBQs with appropriate cooking and plating available in the lounge pod.  While all cabins are air conditioned, the design emphasise energy efficiency with cross flow breezes and fans.
  • Check-in time is 2pm. Check-out is 10.30am. Variations may be possible, please ask.
  • All accommodation is non-smoking inside.
